One unforgettable aspect of Parrilla Loca is their chips and salsa. The guacamole receives high praise too, claiming a place among the finest without needing the extra lime squeeze for that ideal taste. For those who understand the importance of seasoning, the dishes here, like the super burrito loaded with seasoned chicken, steak, and shrimp, won't disappoint. Each bite bursts with flavor, demonstrating a commitment to culinary excellence.
But the highlights don’t stop there! Olivia Ann Hodges emphasizes the fantastic lunch specials. For just $9.99 to $11.99, you can mix and match up to four selections from a thoughtfully curated list. Imagine savoring grilled mushrooms alongside mouthwatering rice and beans, all while sipping a skillfully crafted margarita. Brad Harris mentions the delightful table-side guacamole and the street corn that perfectly complements any meal, making for a unique dining experience.
With dishes such as street tacos—ranging from campechano to carnitas—as described by Benjamin Garrett, guests can truly indulge in the distinct nuances of Mexican cuisine. The chimichanga, an all-time favorite, never fails to impress, reinforcing that Parrilla Loca isn’t just about quantity, but quality, too. Each meal reflects an attention to detail, from freshness to presentation.
For anyone in the area, whether you're an Air Force personnel or a family seeking a delicious meal, Parrilla Loca has something special to offer. It’s not just a meal; it’s an experience filled with incredible food, excellent service, and a warm sense of community. Don’t just take my word for it; visit and witness how this establishment has quickly become a beloved spot for those in search of authentic, well-seasoned Mexican food.
“ I stopped by Parrilla Loca for lunch one day since it was close to my job, and I was genuinely surprised by how good the food was. Being originally from Southern California, I’m convinced that we have the best Mexican food outside of Mexico. Over the years, I’ve tried Mexican food from a fair share of places—Texas, Arizona, Nevada, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Alabama—and outside of California (and a few spots in Arizona), I’ve consistently been let down. But this place? Actually pretty solid. Chips, Salsa & Guacamole The first thing I judge at any Mexican restaurant is their chips and salsa, and I have to say, they nailed it. The salsa was immaculate, and as a self-proclaimed sauce snob, that’s saying something. The guacamole was also phenomenal—another area where I have high standards. I hate when I have to ask for limes to balance the flavors in my guac, but here, I didn’t have to. It was perfectly seasoned and lined to perfection—no extra effort needed on my part. The Burrito Since I wasn’t sure what to order, I went with a super burrito loaded with chicken, steak, and shrimp—and it was exactly what it sounded like: huge and packed with flavor. One thing I’ve noticed about a lot of Mexican food, even in authentic spots, is that many places don’t season their meat because they rely on the sauces to bring the flavor. But this place actually seasoned their steak, chicken, and shrimp instead of just depending on the toppings and salsa to do the heavy lifting. That made a huge difference and elevated the whole dish. Final Verdict Overall, I was thoroughly impressed. The food was fresh, well-seasoned, and balanced, and they clearly put thought into even the smallest details. For someone as picky about Mexican food as I am, this place exceeded my expectations. 10/10—would definitely recommend. If you’re looking for legit, well-seasoned Mexican food, this is the spot. ”
“ In and out in less than an hour. Stopped on our way from Tuscaloosa to Pensacola. Service was quick and food and margaritas were fantastic!!! Love their lunch special - pick 3 or 4 from a list of 15 for 9.99 and 11.99, respectively. This list of 15 also includes rice, beans, grilled mushrooms, guacamole salad as options - basically a mix and match for both sides and main dishes! ”
“ Absolutely fantastic find! The staff is wonderful and friendly. We had the guacamole made at the table. The street corn is excellent!! The flavors of the food are great. I highly recommend this! ”
“ I love Mexican and seek it out all over the area. I have read that Parilla Loca is awesome. The reviews are accurate and on point. The food is incredible. I ordered 3 street tacos (campechano, pastor, and carnitas). They were absolutely incredible. My wife ordered a chimichanga and it was outstanding. The service is top notch. I knew the place was going to be awesome when the patrons were a mix of Air Force personnel and Hispanic families. I will be back to check out more menu items. Everyone in the area that loves awesome food needs to try Parilla Loca. ”
“ Excellent service!! Authentic feel! Fresh chips & yummy salsa! Loved the horchata ”
“ Pastor Street tacos were very good. Had the Barbaco, it was good, but I like the Pastor better. Came with grilled onions. Good food and good service. Glad to have a good Mexican restaurant in Hope Hull. Food and menu very similar to Sol in Montgomery another favorite restaurant. Huevos con chorizo (eggs and Mexican sausage), Churros, the elote loco (corn on the cob) and fries locas were all very good. The Parrilla salad and Parrilla bowl were also good. ”
“ Hidden gem in Hope Hull, AL, that only got on my radar due to so many suggestions from Google Maps. Definitely worth the visit though! Big, open dining room. Lots of local folks (which is a good sign!) Service was low key but high speed. Chips and salsa were great. Food came out ssssssuuuuuppppeer fast and hot and fresh. Big portions and great flavor. The salsa snuck up on me mid way into the meal and I enjoyed the lingering effects. Good value for the price and planning on visiting again when I'm in the area. ”
“ Traveling through and choose this place based on reviews and they didn't disappoint. Fantastic services and the food was delicious chips, salsa and cheese dip spot on. I had street tacos pork carnitas and my husband had steak fajitas. So good...plus cold beer ... ”
